What facial plastic surgery covers
Facial plastic surgery treats the signs of ageing in the face and neck, and changes the shape of individual features such as the nose, eyelids, chin or ears. Some procedures also restore function, such as breathing through the nose.
Facelifts and the neck
A facelift repositions the deeper tissues of the face and removes loose skin. The deep plane facelift works beneath the muscle layer for a longer-lasting lift of the jawline and neck; the endoscopic facelift, the traceless facelift and the ponytail facelift use smaller or hidden incisions. The midface lift and endoscopic midface lift focus on the cheeks, and a neck lift or double chin liposuction treats the neck and jawline.
Eyes, brow and forehead
Eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) removes heavy upper-lid skin and under-eye bags. A brow lift or forehead lift raises a low brow and smooths the forehead, and cat eye surgery lifts the outer corners of the eyes.
Nose, chin and profile
Rhinoplasty reshapes the nose, revision rhinoplasty corrects an earlier operation, and septoplasty straightens the septum to improve breathing. A chin implant balances the profile.
Lips, cheeks and ears
A lip lift shortens the space under the nose, bichectomy slims the lower cheeks, facial fat transfer restores lost volume with the patient's own fat, and otoplasty corrects prominent ears.
Choosing the right procedure
The face ages in layers, and the right procedure depends on which layer has changed: skin, fat, muscle or bone. In the consultation the surgeon examines the face as a whole, explains what each option can achieve, and plans the recovery. Facial surgery at ClinMedica is led by surgeons including Op. Dr. İbrahim Altoparlak, Dr. Ümmügülsüm Barutçu Diyarbakır, Op. Dr. Hasan Beyhan Kanmaz and Op. Dr. M. Türker Özyiğit.
